Bart's PE Builder-Can I build under Windows 2K Pro with Win XP Home or
Pro in CD drive?

I want to build PE Builder so it works under Win XP Home and Pro, but
do not want to load XP on my computer yet (I help others with PC
problems). I have Win 2k on my machine as Fat32

I ran across a situation the other day where it would have come in
handy due to a WIN XP home installation where you could not even get
into Safe Mode. Problem with LSass.exe and authentication after trying
reinstall of Win XP Home and use of Recovery Console. This was due to
the infamous 0x80040507 error that no one seemed to resolve easily.

Thanks for any help
Joe

I think it can be done. The boot CD once made will even access Win 98
drives.

1.. The files from your Windows Installation CD-Rom.
Supported Windows versions are:

a.. Windows XP Home Edition (must be slip streamed with Service Pack 1
or higher)
b.. Windows XP Professional (must be slip streamed with Service Pack 1
or higher)
c.. Windows Server 2003, Web Edition
d.. Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition
e.. Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
2.. PE Builder runs on Windows 2000/XP/2003 systems.
3.. You must be able to record an ISO image to a CD-Rom or DVD media.
