Really sorry to here that mate. :(

Keep pushing OC for a refund, the send it off to maker is only after 28days so they told me, but I have had products replaced as soon as they have received the old one.

Hope you get it sorted.

I would get a refund and go else where, but its a really good price for that card. I cant find it any cheaper. You could see what the replacement is like and then decide what to do. :)

Well i was thinking of the 285, but cheapest is around £330... lol i got my 280 for £250.

£80 for what is in essence the same as what the 8800 ultra was to the 8800GTX. ;)

The only advantage of the 285 over the 280 is that its a smaller process and it uses 2x 6 pin connectors instead of 6 + 8 pin...

I will get a BFG Card, just may have to wait a little longer for the thing to come from the US. :)

Ok after a bit of reading and thinking last night.....

I requested a refund from OCUK under the DSA. I'm bored of waiting and tbh now i want a 285. :p

Got an email this morning at 09.30 stating that the refund has been processed. :)

The XFX GTX 260 (216SP) black edition is £201 on the scan today only, read some reviews on it mate, it will beat a stock 280 because of the masive overclock on the memory.

It won't beat a 285 though will it? :D

Sometimes, wanting something overules common sense and budget considerations ;)

Gotta have it!

As for me, I'm quite happy with my 9800GTX 512Mb and 8800GTS 640Mb for the time being.

I'll probably buy a 285 in September for £130.00, I don't mind waiting....

Yeah but.....

Its better than what he originally purchased for £40 less.

Plus the 285 is £130 more and for that it isn't 40% more powerful, but if thats what he wants then get it, it just doesn't make much sense.

Not to you it doesn't but there are people in this world who just want the best :)

I kinda agree with you tbh but if somebody told me to buy something different from what I really wanted it would actually just make me more determined to stick to my original decision :D
