Baffled

All of a sudden when on a web page using aol it will
freeze up but the mouse still moves but i cannot go back
or forward or cant even x out of page i tried aly ctrl del
but nothing happens I have to do a hard shut down but then
I realize same thing happens when using internet
explorer.. I have ran Mcafee virus plus went to trend-
micro and did a scan there but no luck..Is there Anyway to
find out if I have a virus that my scan arent picking
up...Thanks in advance

- First, Scan for spyware

- There may be some third-party browser component that is loading up and
causing problems.
To disable these:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Clear the checkbox for "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart)" found in Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
- Restart
If this works, then you can proceed to delete the one(s) causing the
problem:
- Run Regedit
- Entries for browser extensions will be found in the below key.
Export and delete the suspect ones.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Extensions
