Bad Updates

Hello:
I have a dell laptop,last night i did the udates for my laptop now i have
problems like you would not believe.

The updats that i installed i was 328310.
the fix update to fix that update is 814995 this was the recommended update.

I tryed that update but my lapop is still the same way.

I have windows XP sp1

I cannot get into the system restore.
It disable the cd-rom.
It also disable the start button.
the task bar has turn white and no startbutton.
A lot of the programs won't work.

If i can get into systems restore i think i can fix this problum.

Tried Add/Remove programs and uninstall the two updates?
