Bad IP Addresses

Adnan

I have setup an additional DHCP Server on my network running on Windows 2003
Server and the other DHCP is running on Windows 2000 Server.

The problem I am having is that I am getting BAD IP ADDRESS on both the
servers. The IP Address which is a Bad one on one server is a lease on the
other server and vice versa. I cant figure out why is there a conflict. Is
it because that the old DHCP is trying to assign the same IP address to a
machine remembering its MAC address or is it something else?? You help will
be much appreciated.

Regards

Adnan

You don't want to have two different DHCP servers on the
same subnet. Get rid of one of them. If you need to
span more than one Class C address, create a superscope
on a single DHCP server for the entire network.
