bad graphics on shutdown

When I turn off or shutdown windows the active graphic on my desktop goes
into a multi lined mess up. I have tried dxdiag nothing wrong and nvidia
drivers are updated, I have even tried rollback driver but it is still not
shutting down correctly. Any Ideas?
