Backup?

Hi,
I was just wondering on doing a backup, but can't find where it is
supposed to be. any help. thanks.

ok what if your computer didn't come with a cd backup?
i have a hp pavillion 7955 which didn't come with any
cd's at all. let alone the windows xp cd.

Check your drive for this: \VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP

Hi

Search your hard disk for a file called ntbackup.msi - if found double click on it to install the backup utility.

You have to install it:

If you have a rescue disk the valueadded folder may be on
it or your XP Disk, Mine was on disk #2

Insert the XP or Rescue CD, and run NTBACKUP.MSI program
from the folder D:\valueadd\msft\ntbackup

You can get a copy here;

In XP Home the ASR Floppy Disk does not work . It will NOT
backup to a CD. You can back up to a folder on your
hard drive then burn it to a CD. The native program in XP
will not span CD's though.
