I looked at "Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 308422"
about backup in XP. I am the computer administrator, but
can't see any backup on the start menu in
accessories>system tools>backup.

XP Home Backup is not installed by default, but it is on the CD. You can
install it from there. Pro installs backup by default.

I tried running setup.exe from the disk, but I can't find
XP Home Backup or anything like it.

I found it. Got it installed.

Now, how can I get data from Win(* backups (qic files)?
