when i backed up my outlook data, i put a password on the
files...contacts, folders, etc. i reformated my
harddrive and reinstalled outlook 2003 and now i can't
get the backup files to open. i get the messaged that
file access is denied. how do i get those data files??

Save the PST to your computer somewhere and then
Right click on the saved file to bring up the properties.
and remove the "Read Only" property attribute.
