Backup! XP Pro

Hi group,
I run XP Pro. Could the back up utility be considered reliable to a
cerain point! I have used a second Harddrive as the
media to hold the backup! I know the backup is only as good as the media it
is held on. I just want to make sure if I do a
full system backup with Floppy restore, will I run into problems restoring
it!

NTbackup is reliable in the context that you describe. However, note
that storing backups on a second internal hard drive is not a good
backup solution. A system problem could damage both hard drives, the
system get's stolen, fire, or other natural calamity - you get the
picture. Backups should ultimately be stored on removable medail. They
can be made to an internal drive then burned to DVD, or make the back
directly to an external hard drive. Doing a complete disk restore with
ntbackup is time consuming. Instead consider getting one of the disk
imaging programs like Norton Ghost, Powerquest Drive Image, Acronis True
Image or BootitNG.
