Hi -

After determining that I cannot successfully use GoBack, I have been
looking for a similar program - one that performs the backups (files and
system) to the C drive. (I know this is not advisable, that one should use
an external drive.)

Does anyone know if such a program exists? I have had no luck in my many
searches for one.

Thank you very much.

I have yet to see a system that I could not Install GoBack 4.0 on. Maybe if
you would tell us your problems.........

Afternoon - Thanks for your promptly reply.

In a nutshell, my problem was I was getting a Stop Error code (C000021a).

I spent hours with both Semantec and Dell, each blaming the other for this
problem. Semantec's "solution" was to disable a NVidea device, but since I
did not have this device, that obviously was not my solution, and they
subsequently agreed.

I have done research on the 'Net and this is apparently a well-known issue -
XP and GoBack not getting along.

Grateful.

That was a problem with GoBack 3. Are you using the latest version, GoBack 4
with the update?

Richard - Yes, GoBackk 4, which I had bought in July '05. What is the
update? When I spoke with Semantec, they did not mention an update....

Thanks, Grateful

It is only obtainable through live update, after you have installed the
initial product. It is version 4.02.309 as of now.

Thank you again, Richard. I will research the update. The CD I have
indicates only 4.

There is DriveCopy, but I am not sure if it what you want, it simply
saves a drive as an image file so that it can be restored later, but it
doesn't work for C:, only for D: or E: or F: etc

You can find DriveCopy at
