Greetings,

Can anyone recommend backup software that allows me to select the folders
and files that I want to backup? I used to use the software included in XP,
and it worked well, but I'm now using Vista, and the included backup
software doesn't allow me to select the folders and files I want.

Thanks,
Shane.

For a simple backup only (no imaging), I highly recommend Second Copy from
www.centered.com. It is completely configurable, scalable, doesn't put the
backup files into a proprietary format, and is reasonably priced ($29.95).
I've used it on clients' machines for years. Their support (which I've only
need to use once in many years) is excellent.

For an incremental backup plus imaging/cloning abilities, Acronis True
Image.

I have used Second Copy for YEARS and love its configurability and
easy scheduling of backups.

Acronis True Image will also backup data per however the user desires.
Acronis only costs $10 more and does SO much more.
