Is there andy Backup software out there that will incremental backup to a
file with compression?

I tried one called BackPack but it would not do a whole drive - it would
break up folders into individual ZIP files

The built-in NTBack will incrtementally backup to a file.
If the file is in a NTFS compressed folder, it will be compressed.

interesting you should mention stomp - I have been asking them for a long
time aout this - but their software even the latest one will only backup to
MEDIA in a compressed incremental APPEND form. it will not do this to a
FILE. I just can't work out why they have done this when their original
versions (as seagate backup used to todo this.)

I have also found that just about every other program out there has this
problem where it won't incremntally backup to the same file.
