Backup questions

Is there any advantage to using the vista complete system backup routine as opposed to
simply copying the whole C: drive to an external drive. I know it takes up less space but
that is not an issue. Wouldn't it also be quicker to simply copy it and easier to copy it
back if needed?
 
The great part of Complete PC Backup is the seamless restoration process,
its a 123 step process. Even the backup process is a cinch.
