Backup problems w/ Vista

When I try to back up using Windows Vista (32) using tabs from the control
panel it says I have a error on my c drive "Catastrophic Failure 0x8000FFFF".
I did a complete scan (over 12 hours worth) using the "drivers and utilities
disk", that eventually indicated "passed" in every category. Dell said it
was a problem with Vista program. Then, when I go to the system restore
panel, looking for a previous date, it will not let me restore indicating I
have an error on the c disk, which I know it not so! How do I fix it, or who
do I contact to see if there is a fix? I'm not a happy camper!

It is Dell's responsibility for ALL Hardware and Software problems.

They buy cheap OEM licences from Microsoft; in return Dell has to supply ALL
support.
