I am amazed at the number of obscure questions.

The problem that you have is to find a program that will recognize a "BKF"
file. I suspect that the only program that will recongize this file is the
program that created it. Insall a copy of that program and vwalla, problem
solved.

to dave h: I am amazed at the number of obscure answers from the so-called
window xp general experts---after not receiving any positive help I called
the live experts at microsoft and they solved my problem--I am here now to
enlighten you--the back up utility was not turned on --then after the backup
utility was turned on-repeat-after I turned the backup utility that comes
with winxp-and I highlighted the file I wanted to restore-presto-it was
restored---if you need any other help , just buzz me--denslo
