I just got a new laptop computer and would like to be able to transfer my
website work in FP2003 back and forth from the PC & laptop. Is there an
easier way than the "publish to hard drive and then copy to CD" method?

Hi Karen,

Do you have wireless or internet connection with your desktop? If so, just publish the web from the laptop to the desktop.

No. It would indeed be simpler that way, wouldn't it? But I guess I'm too
scared to mess with a network.

So there's no other simple way?

Karen,

W/o using a network then the only thing left is sneaker net. Setting up a network is really simple.

So what's "sneaker net"?

Karen, I have websites on a portable USB 2 hard drive that I can "hot
plug" into any computer, therefore I'm always working on the same
files all the time. You can get a drive for $50 -$100 depending on the
size you buy.

Of course, I still make CD back-up copies every time I make major
changes.

If you go with a wireless networking system, learn how to password
protect it so anyone driving down the street, or 1 of your neighbors,
is not on your system doing things you don't know about.
