Backup 5.0 - Serious worries

A

Andy Brierley

I've been happily using MS Backup on Windows 2000 quite happily backing up
data to another drive every week for nearly six months now and it is only
now, when I need to get something back I have come across a problem.

I've been backing up various folders from C: to E: using a scheduled
backup - it creates a file called sched_bak.bks (7Gb). So, I go to Restore
and the darn backup software doesn't seem to recognise this file.

Any ideas?

Hi, try renaming your file to sched_bak.bkf and try again.
Backup may not like the .bks extension.
