backspace key in a form causes you to go back a page

I am using ie6 and I am filling out a form on a web page
and make a mistake. When I use the backspace key to
delete the last keystroke, my browser goes back one page
instead of going back one character.

Does anyone know a fix for this or how to disable this
function?
