Backing Up

B

Ok, I have Norton Ghost 2002 and went to PC DOS to run it, so I could
back up my 40GB hard disk to CD-RWs. I must be missing something since
the app is asking for CD-R and not the CD-RWs that I have in the CD
Burner. Yes, it does see the burner.

Though I do have a 40GB disk, only about 12GB is used. What am I
missing, since the thing is asking for 40 CDs when Ghost is set for High
compression.?

I could also do Disk to Disk, since I do have an 80GB slave drive.
Would this cause any problems? Thanks in advance!

Why bother with all the cd's when you can just image to the other hard
drive, I do it all the time with Drive Image.

That is exactly what I want to do.

However, when I am using Ghost 2002, the app will only let me do Disk to
Image for CDs and floppy. When I start the process, Ghost does see both
HD. I chose the 1st one (40GB) and get a dialogue box asking where I
want to send the image. I, only have a choice of A: and my HP CD Writer.

Perhaps, I am missing something but does Disk to Disk do the same thing
as Disk to Image? Haven't looked at Disk to Partition, yet. This is one
area of Ghost that I've never looked into.

Barry, hopefully someone here uses Ghost and can help you. I have both
Ghost and Drive Image but I just happen to like Drive Image and find it
easier to use.
