I just installed FP 2003 on my laptop, over the previous version of FP.
It has a number of webpage settings (mainly the publish info, locations,
names and Passwords, etc.) that I would like to now backup to a CD.

Where is the "good stuff" stored that I need to back up in order to
restore in the future without reconstructing all my signons if I need to
do a reinstall? Thanks...

Ron

Those are stored in the registry, Network Places, the FP config files w/ a site, and the FP web cache files,
All of which are dynamic and should not be restored separately from the PC state at the time of the backup of the PC and/or webs

IMHO
Keep a separate record (in a backup media) of all your URLs, UserIds and Passwords
- Notepad and a file on a Diskette (also backed up) have never failed me

I came across this, which will work ideally since I want to put the same
DUNs back onto the same computer after I reinstall the OS. :
To Copy your DUN settings between computers:

STart/Run/Regedit

Highlight the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\RemoteAccess

Select Export from the registry menu & export to a file

Transfer the saved .reg file to the target

You can import this into the same or another computer as follows:

Copy the saved .reg file to the target computer & double click on the file

It will install itself in the registry

Open Network & Dilaup connections on the target computer

Your dialup connections should appear but won't work until you
modify their modem settings to match the modem installed on the target
computer. To do so:

Right click on each new connection
Properties
Select the correct modem

That will export / import your
Dial Up Networking settings, that are used to
access your ISP, but it has nothing to do with
local web and server addresses and their respective
usernames and passwords for FrontPage.
