Windows XP Backing up Software

I want to back up my data to an external hard drive, are their any free software packages that will do this for me.
Or do i need to just choose which folders or software myself?

As long as the external disk is recognised Ok within Windows (I'm assuming you're using Win XP here) just copy and paste data to it, no need for any extra software.

There's always NTbackup, womes built in to windows and does the job.
