I need to backup the registery to install some sofware. I have pre installed

with out a disk?

Two points:

1. The built-in Windows System Restore feature is probably adequate for what
you want to do here.

2. If you want a more complete stand-alone registry backup program, the
freeware ERUNT is excellent.

Use the Backup Wizard to save the system state. The system state includes a
backup of the registry.
