Backing up & Recovering Outlook express

I had to reformat my computer and someone walked me thru
backing up outlook with all my email and my addresses and
they gave me the link to the information to recover it,
but I am having a problem. Is there an easy way to
reinstall or import this information back? I am at a loss
without my email and addresses. Thank you!
