Do I need to use CD-RW CDs to make back-up copies of WinXP CD, application
CDs, etc., or will CD-R CDs do just fine?

Thanks for your help!

CD-R's are fine, if you want a static backup that you're
not going to change.

CD-R is the most reliable of the two types of media, personally I
only use CD-RW for very temporary storage.

Thank you. Guess my question is not as clear as it needs to be: Do backup
copies require the ability to "write" to the CD so that CD-RW's would be
required?

Thanks for any help you people can give me.
