Backing up email

Backing up and exporting aren't necessarily the same thing. And how well the
Windows Mail export works depends on what you'll be importing to on the
other end. But for the sake of example, if you were going to import to
Windows Mail on the other computer, then yes, Export in Windows Mail will
export quite well.

Is there a recommended way to back up you email messages and folders?

For example, suppose you get a new machine and want to access all your old
saved emails. How do you save all the emails so that you can then import
them to your new machine?

Does the "Export" function in Windows Mail do this? Does it do it well?

Thanks

File | Export works.
