Backing up C Drive with Win XP Pro

I upgraded to XP Pro expecting to be able to create a
backup copy of my C drive. When the first CD-R is full I
get the message that the disk is full and the backup
operation will not complete. It then closes. Why can't I
just insert a blank CD-R and continue?
 
Cause Windows built in back up service is crap, get yourself something like
Norton Ghost and do an image of your C Drive.
