Backgrounds in motion.

Hi, I was just wondering--is it at all possible to set your backgrounds so
that it does multiple pictures? What I wanted to do was select pictures that
would fade in and out on the desktop. My friend has a MAC where she was able
to do it. I wasn't sure if a PC could do that? Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.
