We have several users which change the background picture to one of there
own, we would like to have the company default picture set on all computers.

Is there a way to stop users changing the background or can windows change
it on start-up to a default picture.

We are running windows xp pro and users have administrators rights.

Hi Stephen,

you can use group policies to enforce this.

Use a GPO to enforce the corporate wallpaper.
Then do another setting to prevent them from change.

You can hide the background tab of display using
GPO -> User Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Control
Panel -> Display -> Hide Background tab. Enable this setting.

This GPO should be set from your AD.
Cheers,
Dennis Chung

You can't stop an administrator from doing this.

The first link works fine, just what i was after.

Is it possible to do the same with the screen saver?
