background pipping

my computer latelty started to make this continius pipping noice, like an
application is continiously opening and closing. i checked the window task
manager and nothing is running what shouldn't. any suggestions.

Is it coming from your PC Box or the speakers.
If its from your box, then one of the fans in your PC may be not
spinning. It may need servicing.
