Background image doesn't show

I have published a web which uses a graphic image as a
background (jpeg in images folder). It shows up fine in
Frontpage as well as live on the web when viewed from my
PC (including web page refresh). However, when I view it
from other computers I only see white as the background.

Strange... any help much appreciated.

Which browser in the other computers??

If Internet Explorer, is it set to show pictures??
IE toolbar, Tools > options > Advanced > scroll
down and check Show Pictures.
Then close and reopen IE.

Tad,

Check the path to the file. Make sure it's pointing to a file contained
inside of your web instead of with a file path. The easiest way to check
that is to view the source of the page in one of the 'problem' computers.
I'll bet that you will find it has a file path, such as
c:\mywebsite\images\background.jpg. Since that file path is correct on your
computer, that would explain why it works from your PC.

I always import files into my FrontPage web before including them in pages
so as to avoid this problem.

Good luck!

That makes sense. I know this sounds rudimentary but how
do I check the source of the file?

Strange....when you save a page, doesn't Frontpage check
any embedded files and save them to the web? Oh well...

The picture's address should be incomplete
(ie: /images/backgroung.jpeg), not referencing a drive
such as C:/. Importing it manually and referencing it
again should fix the problem.

Hope that helps...and sorry for jumping in like that.
