Background colour in Reading Layout

Some documents are showing up in black text on a blue background in Reading Layout. They revert to the normal black on white when I switch to Normal or Print Layout. Does anyone know where to modify this behaviour?

(The normal Tools>Options checkbox for white text on a blue background works normally in Normal or Print Layouts, and then the Reading Layout becomes white on pale blue!)

This is more a curiosity than anything, but any advice would be appreciated.

My best guess would be that you have a problem with your graphics card driver...

Thanks for the thought Cindy, but I don't think that's it. It seems to be something in the document itself because it exhibits the same behaviour when e-mailed to a remote third party.
