Background color bleeding

The background color on the desktop is "bleeding" through the desktop
picture, causing unsightly outlines of color around the icons and their
titles. Any way to fix this? Thanks.

This is very strange. Now if I rearrange the icons to a certain
configuration, I don't get the color outlines, but in other configurations I
do. Also the titles of the icons still have color outlines. This is
definitely an improvement, but is there an explanation for what is happening
here?

Could you post a screenshot of this, then I would have a better idea what is
going on?
