Back-up on xp Home edition

I purchased my computer with a bundle package that
included Windows XP Home Edition. Before anything major
is done, I am tod I should always back-up my computer. XP
Home does not come already installed with back up.
However, when I went to the Microsoft Widows site and
looked up the proceedure for downloading 'back up', I read
only about how to install the backup from my XP cd, which,
of course, did not come with the pc I purchased. :(
It is my understanding that none of the XP Home Editions
came with a bck up pre-installed. How can I get the
installation of back up that I need???

assist me in the back up that I need installed!
