Sorry microsoft, this OS is so buggy, I've reloaded XP, wow it flies!

Poor NVIDIA support for latest cards, dear me!
Poor application and game support for latest games, dear me!
Divx playback and multimedia burning, buggy, dear me!
Logitech latest keyboard/mouse, workarounds, dear me!

It just goes on, and this was ultimate, why did I pay so much, I'm really a
fool.

You're proly not aware of the fact the MS does not write the drivers for
Nvidia cards.
Nvidia does.
Poor application and game support for latest games, dear me!

You're proly not aware of the fact the MS does not write drivers for
games unless they're MS games.
Divx playback and multimedia burning, buggy, dear me!

You're proly not aware of the fact MS does not write Divix drivers.
Divix does.
Logitech latest keyboard/mouse, workarounds, dear me!

Hummm...you're proly...well sh*t, by now, either you got the message or
else it won't matter.
Game over.

Actually Vista flies also once setup and defragmented.
And oddly enough..Microsoft also made XP. ;)
Poor NVIDIA support for latest cards, dear me!

Nvidea has releaded newer drivers.
MS has released (or soon will) a couple hotfixes
to fix a few game issues and graphics memory.
Poor application and game support for latest games, dear me!

Applications and games are upto respective developers,
MS has co-operated with (afaict) developers since mid
2002 (just after first longhorn beta's) so having some
5 years for nvidea and game developers to tinker...
Divx playback and multimedia burning, buggy, dear me!

hunt for "vistacodecs" it's a package of media extensions.
for burning I just use InfraRecorder good enough for now.
Logitech latest keyboard/mouse, workarounds, dear me!

Again...Logitech has had 5 years to get with the program.
It just goes on, and this was ultimate, why did I pay so much,
I'm really a fool.

I don't blame you for being a little disappointed but the
brunt of your remarks (as listed) were misplaced.

If memory serves, didn't people prefer 98 SE to either ME or XP? Me,
I'm sticking with 3.1.

umm, Windows98FE, SE was ramhog and slower. ;)

WinME is a bit like Vista in that is was a PITA,
But like Vista...once configured it was unbeatable.
Me, I'm sticking with 3.1.

That's actually a good choice, wfw3.11 with
32bit support added plus multimedia updates
then pop it all on a ramdisk...zooom!

Myself I was fond of 32bit enabled dosshell.
Also WinNT3.51 an OS where folks had given up
trying to break into, and it retired undefeated?

Thanks for the memories. ;)
Sometimes all this computer/OS stuff can really
strain our humor, people should always come first.

Sorry the elephant bird could not fly.. (google it.. there was such a bird)
it also went extinct.. just like vista will

Vista is the thing that broke backwards compatibility with existing drivers
you stupid moron!
Of course MS is to blame for that!

Nvidia does.

Frank is such a dumbass he's too stupid to even know how to spell
probably.

I preferred 98 SE. I changed over only because my old computer quit
working and I couldn't get a new one with 98 SE.

Hummm...not a good argument seeing as how Win98 needed Win98 drivers,
Win2K needed Win2k drivers, XP needed XP drivers and Vista needs Vista
drivers.
It's rather obvious that you're the "stupid moron".

Again Frank confirms was a idiot he actually is. That a boy Frank!

The fact is XP didn't need specific XP drivers for a lot of things and
would work fine with older NT drivers.

Now do your usual bullshit where you pretend that wasn't what you
said, it wasn't what you really meant, screech, rant, whine, fart,
fart, more screeching, more throwing feces around. It's what you do.
It is what you always do you clueless ****wit.

"Vista is the thing that broke backwards compatibility..."
Windows vista is compatible with much older hardware, but not all.
This is the same as previous operating systems and not at all unique to
Windows Vista.

You seem to want 100% backwards compatibility while others would prefer none
to help keep windows trimmer.
The line gets drawn somewhere and wherever it is drawn, some hardware will
be left out.

I want to confirm this.. XP worked fine with most win2k drivers because both
had NT kernels

win95 98 and Me also shared most drivers because it had a 9x kernel

Vista should have followed the "rules" and retained the chain of
win2k-xp-vista compatibility since all are NT kernels..

but explaining that to frank is like explaining to a hollow rock

vista is horrible with compatibility and you know it..

its extremely horrible and it should have not been this way

"...and you know it.."
I know this is typical for a new operating system.
I also know it is unavoidable.
How much depends on where the line is drawn.

What hardware gives you have compatibility issues?
What have the manufacturers said when you asked why 10 months after RTM,
they still do not support you?

"it should have not been this way"
More manufacturers could have done more to prevent it since they had the
resources and time to support their customers needs..
Instead as is normal, some have abandoned some of their customers.

If Windows Vista does not support someone's essential hardware or software,
there is really only one solution, do not upgrade.
Since Windows XP will probably be supported for several more years, the
release of a new operating system is not sufficient reason to upgrade.

No! You're dead wrong, yet you can't admit it (you're a weakling?)!
We have nine (9) installs of Vista Ultimate running on a variety of
hardware with no problems that we have not been able to overcome.
You're ignorantly stupid postings about Vista are misleading at best and
outright lies at worst.
Go back into space you moron!
Frank

On, and one other thing...you eat sh*t...lol!

If it so horrible, why don't you commit yourself to an institution and get
it over with? Just FYI

You are what comes out of the elephant. Live with it. Just FYI.

You can't wipe your own shit encrusted ass. The real Frank is probably
some 300 pound drooling old goat that poops in his Pampers and lives
in some nursing home. They let Frank play on the Internet is so he
doesn't try to hump some old lady down the hall.
