Back button

The back button on XP and Internet Explorer simply stopped
working.
I have reloaded the system from the disk and also used
System Restore to a date when it was working - still
doesn't work, neither back nor forward.

At first I believed it to be a problem in Explorer, but it
is throughout both browser and Word.

Any help would be appreciated.

could be the keyboard..swap it out and see if it still does it.

The Back button John is talking about is not on the keyboard.
