I have posted the review below for those unable do so
Babya Photo Workshop Professional is an image editor which has a range of
image effects filters and can be used with TWAIN devices.
It features the Babya Effects FX applet for 30 extra image effects, the
Babya Photo Workshop Standard bitmap editor applet, you can add borders &
frames to image, it can monitor the Clipboard, add text, zoom in & out, has
a multi-level undo, and more.

This is potentially an excellent image editor which has a crude Windows GUI
(graphical user interface) and, in some ways, feels more like a DOS program.
The GUI lacks many of the features we have come to expect - like an image
preview, slide controls for effects, instant viewing of changes to an image
(they happen, just very, very slowly), and more. However, it is highly
effective and does produce excellent results.

The program comes with two applets - the FX applet and the bitmap applet,
neither of which made us feel excited but, again, worked quite well in
practice. The FX editor uses a crude and somewhat quirky adjustment dialog
box where you insert a number to change the strength of each effect.

Generally Babya Photo Workshop Professional suffers from its crude GUI,
which is really a shame because it is an effective image editor and has one
big advantage over many similar editors - it is extremely small.

Overall, a reasonably powerful image editing suite but which lacks some
important features (like the image preview) and is quite slow to apply image
effects.
