Avtivation problems via the Internet

Hello,
I am so confused about activation...

We receive machines from HP. I have manipulated the software to conform to
our Comapny standard desktop policy. This includes Office fonts e.t.c.

I have used Sysprep and resealed the machine. Rebooted and Taken a Ghost
Image.
Upon rebooting the machine I am asked for the sysprep info (expeected)
Computer name Admin password. Product Key.

I have entered the Product Key that is on the Box. (Oem version) Everything
looks fine.
I then sign on as Local administrator and am prompted to Activate. I select
to activat over the Internet. It responds ' Checking Connectivity' (or
somthing like that) and just sits there. I reboot and go through the same
process without Activation.

I can Telephone for activation, but this would be a pain as we may have
10-20 new machines a week.
Can some one help. Thanks
Stephen
