Avoiding multiple instances of Access?

Hi all,

in a company we have the problem, that the employees have multiple instances
of access open. Is it possible to avoid this? Either in Access itself or
with a systemprogramm.

do you want the users to keep from opening several different access
aplications at the same time?
or do you want to avoid them of opening the same custom access
application more than once?

I'd like to avoid them to open the same custom access application more than
once. But it doesn't matter because they can only use this access
application at this computer.
Do you have any idea?
