AVI Clip dramatically looses quality when drug to storyboard...?

We are using a screen capture to make an avi clip about 7 minutes long. We drag it into MM2 as a clip. When we drag it onto the storyboard, suddenly the quality drops to unusable.

We've tried:
-using different resolution
-different codec

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Matt

We'll resize the video to 320x240 for preview when playing from the
storyboard and screen capture frames typically don't resize well. When you
save your movie we will resize the video to the target video frame size. So
for example if you have 640 x 480 screen capture video, although it may look
rather bad during preview, if you save your movie with a video profile that
has 640 x 480 frame the end result shouldn't be too bad. However we will
publish using the video codec and not the screen capture codec so it still
won't look as good as the original.

If you really want to preserve the highest quality screen capture you may
want to check out Microsoft Producer. It's a free download if you have
Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or 2003 and will allow you to mix video content
and screen capture content on the timeline.
