AVI audio problems

When I try to play avi files on XP, the video is ok, but
the audio is horribly choppy. I've got all the current
codecs and I know my video card works. And I've got all
the windows updates. Has anyone else experienced this?
Or would anyone have a clue on how to fix it?

I've the same problem
I guess the problem is not in the avi file since it is well read in any others reader soft, but it is in the MM2
Hope somebody will help us
