How do to all.

In windows XP, XP will display the file parameters of an AVI file, such as
video length and geometry (ex 720x480).

Is there a way to get XP do so the same for Mpeg files? I've scowered and
can't seem to find anything.

Thanks.

Kenny, I use Gspot and understand it will give me everything I need. But
that is at a different level and requirement that I am asking about. If I
was interested in the codec being used or the video frame, timing and
related references, I'd use Gspot.

I guess my question was phrased wrong, so I'll give her another go.

In Windows EXPLORER, when listing AVI files, XP will display the details of
the AVI files; specifically the Dimensions of the video for ex: 720x480 and
the length of the video, for ex: 1:32:12.

I am asking if we can have XP do the same for MPEG files (or for that matter
any other video file). In Fedora and on a MAC (as examples) this can be done
quite easily, but I can't find a way to have XP do so.

Hope this clears it up as it is as explicit as I can make it.

Thanks...
