AVG7Free and Servers

For understandable reasons AVG7 the free version is prevented from being
installed on Win2000/NT Server O/S. This hasn't been a problem with
previous versions.

This is unfortunate since I suspect that there is a considerable number
of home/private users who run Win2000 or NT Server on their home PC.

V.6 will no longer be supported with virus updates as from the end of
January 2005. Hence I cannot continue using v.6.

Unless I find a fix for this I will be obliged either to purchase AVG7
or move to another free version.

Anyone with suggestions?

Sure....it works fine on Win2000.

Yes I meant Win2000 Server and NT Server. AVG7Free cannot be installed
on a Server machine for reasons I can understand requiring one to get
the professional version. Since I dont use this old PII PC as a server
anymore it is just a pity that with AVG7Free I have now come to the end
of the road with AVG which is an excellent AV. One can continue to use
AVG6Free but there will be no more virus updates anymore making it
obsolete. :( Unless there is a way of making Win2000 Server look like
plain vanilla Win2000 :)
