Sorry if this is the wrong NG but I couldn't find any others. Runnning
XP Home with AVG Pro 7.1. Just renewed license but only after it had
expired by a couple of weeks. Problem now is that AVG thinks it's in
the middle of an update and won't finish it? I have removed and
re-installed but it's still the same. I've also downloaded the latest
version from Grisoft but I still get the same message. I've looked
through the FAQ at Grisoft but the suggestions don't fix it. Any ideas
please? If there is a better NG for this then could someone point me
to it?

TIA

cheers,
Len

I have posted Grisoft support but I thought I'd ask here to see if
anyone had a solution.

do a registry search
and remove any AVG or grisoft keys

Found the solution if anyone wants to know! Go into Docs and
setting/All users/Application Data/Grisoft/Avg7Data and delete
everything in there.

Did this and then tried an update and all went as it should.

cheers,
