Auxilliary Speakers

I have a laptop set up with two additional speakers. Initially they worked
fine but now I notice that for some time they have not been working at all,
the PC speakers are going O.K though.

I have checked that the extra speakers are working and the volume is all
right and nothing is muted.

I think I must have inadvertently changed a setting somehow. The only thing
I can think of is that some time ago I tried to setup the Text to Speech
engine. Could something here be causing the problem. Many thanks for any
ideas.

I have encountered something similar. It happened on an IBM Thinkpad. This
laptop had a special keyboard key which controls the speakers and volume.
Check for yours.
