In Word 2000, I click Tools, Autocorrect, and the Auto
Text tab. When I click on one of the items in the list
(for example, "CONFIDENTIAL"), the preview shows me a
series of boxes. When I click Insert to
put "CONFIDENTIAL" in my document, I see a series of boxes
instead of "CONFIDENTIAL". Any idea how to fix this?

That works, but the problem is with every item in the list. I'd rather not
have to change each one.

Rename normal.dot to oldnormal.dot and restart Word. This will recreate the
default template.
