How do you create a new autoext to Normal.dotx which can be recovered by the
key letters and F3 shortcut?

Why does Outlook not recognise F3 to recover an autext word or phrase

Although AutoText is still available in Word 2007 it has been supplanted by
Quick Parts>Building Blocks. You might check them out in Word Help first. If
you still decide on a specific need for an AT item I believe you'll need to
add the AT button control to the Quick Access Toolbar... At least that will
make it much easier to work with. Afraid I can't address the Outlook issue.

When using Outlook 2007, you may believe you are using Word as the email
editor, but you are not. You are using a much simplified version of Word
running from its own self-contained dll file. SO it has only a little of
Word's functionality and any changed made tot he settings in Word won't be
reflected in Outlook. You need to set it up separately.

....the upshot of which means that you'll need to create Quick Parts in
Outlook (in the Insert tab when composing a message, type the text you want
to use, select it, then click Quick Parts -> Save Selection...). Quick Parts
created in Outlook will respond to F3 in Outlook. But, they're wholly apart
from what happens in Word.

Apparently, SOMEBODY can't. :-(

AutoCorrect, on the other hand, is intergrated, and AutoCorrect entries you
create in Word are usable in Outlook, and vice versa.
