AutoText entry

Hi

I have AutoText turned on to use for various items. How do I stop the auto-date funtion happening? If I type "25 May 2004" then at the end of that will be the AutoText box advising to "Press Enter to accept 2004-05-25". I do not want this and cannot find where to stop this feature of AutoText

Any help appreciated

The feature's called AutoComplete, and I'm not aware of any option to turn off the date component alone. But to turn off the AutoComplete feature, select Insert > AutoText, AutoText tab and remove the tick from Show AutoComplete suggestions.

The date prompt cannot be deselected separately from the rest of the
autotext tips, but autotext works from the menu or by typing the autotext
name and pressing F3 whether or not you have the prompts displayed.
Alternatively just ignore it and insert the date using an autotext field
that places a createdate field (or fields) - see the last item at
