autostart problems

hi all,
thanks for the help in advance.
my autostart does not seem to be working. put in a game
disk, music disk, any disk and i have to double click on
the cd-rom icon i have placed on my desktop. worked all
along until recently even after putting the icon on the
desktop.
also, when i connect my pen drive to a usb port the "what
to do" dialog no long comes up. i have to use windows
explorer to access the "temporary drive" instead of just
selecting "open files and folders" in the "what to do"
dialog.

Check if AutoPlay is off in TweakUI > My Computer > AutoPlay > Types.
