Lost my autostart

A long time ago, some application recommended that I disable autostart on
my CDRom, and asked if I wanted it disabled. I OK-ed it. Now I would
like to have it back. Everywhere I've looked it appears to be enabled. In
Disk Management, properties of CD drive... it's set to prompt me what
application to use. I have powertoys and it's set to autostart in there
too. Is there something in the registry that could have been set to cause
this?
No matter what type of disk I put in; blank, audio, video, data...
nothing happens. Actually, I have two drives. Neither works.

Thanks a lot for the links. I changed the registry values (they were
wrong) in both places. Still didn't work. Tried the other repair tool.
That didn't work either. It's got me stumped. I dual boot Windows 98 on
this machine and it works fine in 98.

And then... I rebooted. And it worked!

Hooray! I must thank you for reporting back the result. It'll
certainly help a lot of folks, including me.

Bee.
